Meet the woman behind The Grateful Plate-

Nikki Domke

Nikki’s Story

Nikki was born and raised in Jamestown, North Dakota. She has a passion for cooking, baking, serving, and is delighted to share it with the community that raised her. In the over two years of running The Grateful Plate, that passion has only grown.

The Grateful Plate started with the idea of catering full time and has grown into an entirely new business. Nikki worked for a local catering business, Emma Rosie’s Homecookin’, for nearly ten years and after a discussion with Emma one night, decided to pursue purchasing the business she has been a part of for so long. With ample catering experience, including working for UND’s award-winning catering service for four years, she is more than qualified to take care of your catering needs.

The Business

The Grateful Plate’s main purpose is to provide catering services to Jamestown and the surrounding communities. Because catering is our main focus, your booking will get The Grateful Plate’s full attention, and we will only book what we can manage, so as to provide the best possible service. Every detail will be handled by Nikki personally, from your booking to service and clean-up. A great deal of time and energy goes into each event, and we hope it shines through our service and food quality!

You can also check out my Take & Bake meals I offer on a weekly basis, as my schedule allows!

“We trust Nikki with the business, and we hope you’ll trust her with your events. We are proud and excited to see another young woman carry on the catering legacy we started, and we know she has what it takes to succeed.”
